Honoring Dr. Mel Otten, A Hero to Many
Join us May 20th as we celebrate Edward J. "Mel" Otten, MD, recipient of the Daniel Drake Humanitarian Award, at the 168th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati.
As a pioneer in emergency and trauma medicine, decorated military service member, and leader in disaster medical response, the reach of Dr. Otten's impact is immeasurable. However, as one of the most dedicated clinical educators in the region, his greatest legacy may be seen in the residents, paramedics, nurses, and first responders influenced by his teaching-and the countless lives saved as a result.
