Seeking Physician Volunteers for AOMC Health Education Series

The Academy of Medicine believes health literacy is fundamental to all in our Cincinnati community. However, according to Interact for Health, life expectancy may vary by up to 25 years within neighboring zip codes.

To help combat this disparity, the Academy's Community Outreach Committee has created a Health Education Series in partnership with Cancer Justice Network. Physicians will be visiting community centers within these underserved areas to provide 15-minute talks on heart disease, diabetes, lung cancer, and other common high-risk health conditions.
