Call to Action from OSMA

OSMA has been opposing legislation that would eliminate the current requirement that APRNs collaborate with a physician in the Ohio Legislature and has received indication that this concerning issue may be put up for a vote in the House Health Committee within the next few days.

HB 177 seeks to fundamentally change how physicians and APRNs work together safely and effectively.

OSMA is asking for your help! Please follow the instructions to send a letter to your elected officials and urge them to not support this legislation. They need to understand that physicians and APRNs are not interchangeable, and that physicians all over the state know this is bad for patient care.
